It’s a convenience service with free deliveries* to your home of fresh and high quality fish, shellfish and fresh and frozen products of the sea. All products are prepared, packed and transported in excellent conditions of hygiene and food security.

◉ IS THE FISH FROM PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRESCO GUARANTEED FRESH AND OF QUALITY?
Yes. Our fish is bought on the eve of delivery – at dawn and/or on the day of delivery – so the fish has the best freshness when you receive it. We choose rigorously the best fish from the best fisherman and Portuguese fishing boats, with the best fish treatment practices. We support the Nacional Production.
◉ WHERE DOES THE WILD FRESH FISH FROM PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRESCO COME FROM?
Our wild fish is from Portuguese waters (Mainland Coast, Azores and Madeira Islands). We bring to you the product of fishery from the Algarve Coast, Alentejo Coast, Sesimbra, Setúbal, Peniche, Figueira da Foz, Matosinhos, Azores Sea and Madeira Island. Some products are imported because of their inexistence in our country, like fresh Cod, for instance.
◉ WHERE DOES THE FRESH/LIVING SHELLFISH FROM PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRESCO COME FROM?
The great majority of our Shellfish is original from the Portuguese Coast. The Bivalves come from the Rias (Ria Formosa, Ria de Alvor, Ria de Aveiro and Sado EStuary) and/or National Coast.
For some species (like Mussels, for example), we choose the Galician Rias (Galicia – Spain), so we can send to you the best products of the season, if availability of the national product is not possible (capture interdictions of biological contamination nature, closed capture season, capture restrictions due to environmental factors – short tides, adverse weather conditions).
The crustaceans (like Spiny Lobsters and Spinous Spider Crabs) are captured by the National fishing fleet, all of the Algarve Coast, Western Coast from Sagres to Viana-do-Castelo and off the coast of Azores islands..
We only import species that do not exist in Portuguese waters (Great Atlantic Scallops, Edible Crabs, for instance) or that the national fishery is not enough (European Lobsters, for example).
We do all we can for you to receive the best products, in every moment. Above all, we always choose the local producers and products, if availability and quality allow it.

◉ WHERE DO THE FROZEN FISH AND SHELLFISH FROM PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRESCO COME FROM?
Our selection of frozen products is based on a set of high gastronomic valued species that do not exist in our waters. Examples of those are several types of wild Alaska Salmon, Icelandic Cod and Mozambique shrimps. With this selection of frozen items, we give you the opportunity to taste the best products from other seas, with the convenience of receiving them at your door.
◉ ARE THE PRODUCTS FROM PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRESCO SAFE?
To ensure the hygienic-sanitarian quality of our products, our facilities and operational activities are properly licenced by the General Directorate of Veterinary (DGAV), in the reception phases, storage, cleaning and filleting of the fresh and frozen fish.
We operate under the veterinarian registration control number (N.C.V) P G 0271 01 P for our facilities in Algarve and the veterinarian registration control number (N.C.V.) PT V 2064 CE for our facilities in Lisbon, allowing the competent authorities to monitor and inspect our activities regularly.
All hygiene and food security, from the pickup of the fish to your door, is assured by the fulfilment of a rigorous control plan of critical points – H.A.C.C.P., monitored by the specialized consulting company CRISTAL, Lda.
◉ CAN I CHOOSE THE ITEMS THAT I WANT IN THE SURPRISE BASKETS FROM PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRESCO?
The baskets are prepared after the purchase of the best fish in the Nacional fish auctions the eve before delivery, and accordingly to the fish species that can compose each type of basket.
In addition to the surprise effect, we seek, above all, to promote sustainable consumption of the fished species every day in every season, in opposition to the use of species that are out of season or that do not have the quality to satisfy your request.
This way, we cannot guarantee that the species sent to you are the one you would like to receive or the one you are more acquainted with. What we can guarantee is to select, prepare, pack and deliver the best and freshest products that the sea and the fishery have to offer every day. It is possible to indicate up to two species you do not want to be part of your basket.

◉ WHAT IS THE FISH OF YOUR OWN CHOICE SERVICE FROM PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRESCO?
Fish of your Own Choice is a personalised service that allows you to choose, through the line of contact +351 916 666 469, the fish and Shellfish that you enjoy the most and you want them to be prepared (in chops or slices, fillet and without fish bones, for example).
After we have your list of preferences and desired quantities, we will go to the National Fish Auctions to buy the freshest and highest quality items. These products are then prepared at our facilities, and delivered directly to your home.
This service has a minimum ordering value of 50€, that must be paid in the ordering moment. If the order exceeds this value, the adjustment will be made in the moment of delivery by ATM or MB WAY.
◉ I WANT TO ORDER A BASKET, BUT I AM ALLERGIC/DON’T LIKE SOME PRODUCTS. CAN I EXCLUDE THOSE PRODUCTS FROM MY ORDER TO PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRECO?
Sim. Durante o processo de encomenda pode selecionar até dois produtos que não quer receber no seu cabaz.

Yes. During the process of ordering you can choose up to two products that you do not want to receive in your basket.
◉ Are the products of PEIXEàPORTA by Nutrifresco ready to cook?
Yes. Before delivery the fresh fish is cleaned and prepared by Nutrifresco´s team, packed in sealed bags (whole fish) or in vacuum bags (fillets), so it arrives at your home ready to cook. For the remaining Shellfish and frozen products, one must have in consideration the specificity of each product.

◉ HOW DO WE GUARANTEE THE FRESHNESS OF THE PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRESCO PRODUCTS UNTIL DELIVERY?
THE DELIVERIES ARE MADE IN REFRIGERATED VEHICLES, WITH CONTROLLED AND MONITORED TEMPERATURE. THE ORDERS ARE DELIVERED IN A SPECIFIC ISOTHERMAL BOX, WITH ICE AND/OR ICE PACKS AND THE SEALED PRODUCTS INSIDE, TO MAINTAIN ITS QUALITY AND FRESHNESS.

On peixeaporta.pt we have the possibility to do a purchase as a guest, without the need to make a user account.

Some frozen products can suffer alterations in the final value presented. This happens due to the products having weight variations. The value presented in peixeaporta.pt is the minimum weight the product can have. If the product weights more, the client must proceed with the adjustment payment in the moment of delivery by ATM or MB WAY. This situation happens with the following products: Tuna, Salmon and Octopus.

◉ HOW DOES A DELIVERY TO MY HOME WITH THE PEIXEÀPORTA BY NUTRIFRESCO PRODUCTS WORK?
Your order will be delivered maximum 48 hours after your ordering, accordingly to the days and delivery schedules available for your area. For instance, the order completed until 23.59 o’clock of Sunday will be delivered Tuesday, during the day. Your products will be prepared the moment before delivery, meaning in the morning of delivery date. Deliveries are made by Nutrifresco Staff, properly identified, respecting the safety and hygiene norms recommended by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS). To confirm if the transport was correctly executed, you can ask the transport driver for the temperature ticket of the cargo compartment of our transport vehicle. In case a payment adjustment is needed (products with variable weight) or personalized orders, our transport driver has a portable ATM equipment so you can execute the payment.
